HERE WE GO AGAIN!

Hello Harrelton Court, I've had my eye on you for quite sometime! This home has incredible potential, and WILL have fabulous style. My inspiration for this home is Ralph Lauren, traditional colors and style with an updated look. I will be posting the process of this home on my blog and instagram. I can't wait to reveal the plans I designed, and keep you posted on the process.

The Begining

There's something about old homes that always gets me. The detail, craftsmanship and architecture surpasses anything created today. Ken Haynie, my fabulous realtor and dear friend, gave me this picture of Harrelton at the closing of the house. It made me happy, I knew this house had been added on over time and lost its vintage charm. The house was originally a white wood sided house, black shutters, and a federal style entry way. The addition added 2 master suits on the left wing of the home, a brick veneer on the front of the home and a new still Federal style curved portico.

I plan on painting the brick exterior white, the shutters back to black, the porch a medium grey. I also want to remove the tree on the right corner of the house, and remove the storm door.

Dining Room

Kitchen Inspiration

I'm going with a light greige cabinet and a navy Island with beautiful original wood floors through out. I'll use gold or brass for the fixtures and hardware. This look is updated traditional to keep with the integrity of the home. I will open the kitchen to the dining room to create an open floor plan. When I'm finished, the family room, kitchen and dining room will be open.

The Master

There are two Master Suits and I chose the second floor as the feature renovation for this project. As of now it is very choppy and dated. I plan on removing the bath tub area, enclosing the toilet room and creating a large walk in shower.
